La prossima chiusura del raccordo autostradale Castel del Lago-Benevento mette in allarme la comunità di San Giorgio del Sannio. L’Anas dovrà intervenire per la riduzione in pristino di alcune criticità lungo l’asse viario di dodici chilometri che collega il capoluogo con l’autostrada A16 Napoli Canosa, una chiusura che perdurerà per quattro settimane. Nell’arco di questo periodo il traffico veicolare dovrà essere dirottato altrove, lungo la statale Appia, per la precisione, e di conseguenza interessare il tratto urbano di San Giorgio del Sannio. Quattro settimane di autentica passione visto che a transitare lungo l’asse viario di Viale Spinelli dovrebbero essere anche i mezzi pesanti con relative conseguenze su tenuta dell’assetto stradale e staticità delle costruzioni che vi insistono.
Un quadro drammatico che il sindaco Pepe non ha sottaciuto alla cittadinanza riunita al Cilindro Nero. Mario Pepe è lapidario: non permetteremo che si faccia strame della nostra cittadina e se sarà il caso, se l’Anas non vorrà ascoltare le nostre proposte, saremo anche nelle condizioni di scendere in strada ed opporci fisicamente. Nel frattempo però Mario Pepe segue anche la strada della diplomazia ed avanza proposte per risolvere la questione senza parossismi.
